General Class Information

  • In wheel courses, you’ll learn to use the potter’s wheel to create bowls, mugs, teapots, and more. In hand building courses, you’ll create unique ceramic pieces using traditional pottery techniques, including pinching, coils, and slabs.
  • Students are encouraged to practice whenever the studio is open and classes are not in session.
  • Full payment is required to make reservation (no partial payment or deposits).
  • Material fee covers up to 1,000 cubic inches of work to be fired. This is calculated at 5 cents per cubic inch and that fee covers both the bisque and glaze firings.
  • All students are entitled to utilize the studio for practice during open studio hours.
  • Due to limited space, there are no make-up classes.
  • Studio includes tools, glazes, towels, and clay (no outside clays or glazes allowed).

Materials Fee

There is an additional fee of $50 for each course at registration. This covers materials used, including clay, glazes, tools and the cost of bisque and glaze firings up to 1000 cubic inches of pottery per course. When a student makes work that exceeds this amount, additional charges will be accrued at 5 cents per cubic inch.

Refunds and Cancellations

While refunds are not available if cancellations are made within 7 days of a course start date, one half of the course fee will be held as credit to your account for future course registrations (expires after 6 months). No refunds/credits once a course has begun.
